Favorite quote:“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” - Howard Thurman
My teaching philosophy: My classroom is a platform for students to have their voices heard, as art has the capacity to reflect each students’ own thoughts, emotions, and ideas about themselves and the world in which they live. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to create projects that allow students to tap into their own creative potential while simultaneously facilitating opportunities of self-understanding. Art is more than a craft to be mastered; it is a way to live.
